Hello November, Hello 8 years of marriage for is today

Happy November everyone! Let's bring on the cooler temperature that were suppose to some what happen in October here in Texas, but nope and yes my hopes are still high and I'm waiting...lol. I like October for halloween but I love the last two months of the year due to the holidays, and of course more memories to make, cooler temperatures for sure, and good food for thanksgiving and Christmas, Christmas trees, christmas decorations, Santa, and so much more!

You know beside it being a new month it's also my husband and I 8th wedding anniversary. Yes, we made it to 8 years of marriage we hit a bump but we went over it with no problem and so glad we are and still HAPPILY married.

Who have thought 3 years of dating and 8 years of marriage! Within those 8 years of marriage we had a baby and got a house...I'm not sure what else is in store for us, but one thing I do know for sure is I'm glad it's with you.

So here is to my wonderful husband happy 8th anniversary babe! Thank you for taking a chance with me and asking me to be your wife at the age of 21. Many people thought I was to young, I wasn't going to be a good wife, we were not going to make it, or my favorite I was pregnant..but little did anyone know we were in love and knew what we wanted.

Fast forward 8 years later here is our life, and what we have is a blessing and is good. Everyday I thank God for giving me you, and for letting me be your wife. I'm proud of you, and proud to be your wife. Thank you for loving me, and for everything you do for not only me but for our little one.

I love you than, love you now, and will love you forever! I'm truly thankful to God for everything we have and will always be. Here is to many more with you and only you!!

Let me tell you the last 8 years have not been easy well more so the last few weeks haven't been easy due to my husband working so much where to the point I felt like us his family was on the back burner with his job. Until this pass Friday we had an early anniversary dinner date while someone we trust watch our son for a few hours. I must say it was much needed and the night was wonderful from the moment we walked in with complimentary drinks to the salad and main course, even to the complimentary dessert all thanks to the owner who my husband email to let him know we will be coming to celebrate our anniversary early. You know I felt so good fixing myself but yet I felt so guilty leaving my son behind, but the food being hot and the quiet dinner with my husband was so amazing and wonderful that the guilty I was feeling went out the window as I deserved this and needed this night with my husband. Date night doesn't happen often but after Friday you bet your socks off it will happen as my husband understood why it was important for us to have a date every once in awhile. Oh yeah before I end this posted let me tell you my outfit for the night was so out of my comfort zone, but the way I felt with it on, my hair fix up, and cute shoes on was amazing. Plus side is I could use my dress more than once(blog post about how many ways I could use this outfit..stay tuned). See I'm staying at home mommy and I normally don't get fix up on a daily basics well at all, and when I do I'm loving it and seeing my husband reaction when he see me....is priceless!! Oh yeah and no matter what he has on he still give me butterflies and is truly handsome.

Since it's a new month please do share what are you looking forward to this month?  Anything special going on like us? Can't wait to read them!

Happy Halloween 2016

Happy Halloween everyone! We just got in from trick or treat and it was a fun night. This year was a little different as my little one was a walker, and going from door to door grabbing the candy and putting it in his bucket. As well as was taking notice of the different decorations and the different costume. You know what was funny was that my son was not scared of certain costumes but this mommy was...lol. Here are pictures of our adventure on this Halloween with a walker:

Before Halloween...We have some fun

Hey everyone! We decide to have a little fun before Halloween with a project and recipe I found on pinterest. And of course it would not be right if we didn't curve a pumpkin or visit a pumpkin patch nor do a trunk and treat.

First let kick off with our handprint pumpkin project we did.

Supplies
Paper or Canvas
Orange, Green, and Brown paint
And of course your child handprint

I started by putting orange paint on one of my son's hand and started to make somewhat of a pumpkin. Green paint was for leaves and the brown was the stem.

Next up was a Halloween float I found on pinterest...was a PASS and very good.

Recipes calls for ice cream, gummy worms, sprite or lime soda, and green food coloring. Scoop your ice cream in a cup than in another cup mix your sprite and green food coloring...once done pour that cup into your ice cream, top it off with worms and Enjoy your Halloween float. Cheers!

Third was M&Ms brownies with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. FYI we love the mix in the bag instead of the box and of course follow the directions on the back. Once done and cool top with chocolate icing and mini M&Ms. Can you say Yum!?!

Than we had a little Halloween party with a mommy group I am in, which I made spiders lollipops for the kids.

How to make spider lollipops:

Pipe cleaners

Lollipops

Fold pipe cleaners in half and cut. Once you three half on a pipe cleaner center it on the stick of the lollipops and twist it. Once done you have three on each side making six. Fold the tip on the pipe cleans down as feet....and you are done.

Finally, is not halloween without a visit to the pumpkin patch, pumpkin carving which is a family tradition for us. It was the third time but second time in our house. Oh yeah can't forgot the trunk or treat to get us pump for the actual day of fun and some trick or treat. As well as story time at our local bookstore with a sing along, a Halloween story, and finish off with a Halloween coloring page.

Hope you and your family have some fun activities plan leading up to halloween or on Halloween. We had much more plan which I will be sharing with you on another post plus our trick or treat fun on Halloween....stay tuned!

My little break

Hello! I'm back from my little break. It was some what of a break but as well as its been crazy in my household to last few weeks from my husband working a lot  and I mean a lot of LONG hours, and me pretty much being a single mother. See I'm blessed to be able to stay home with our son while my husband work, but his job was being way to demanding even to the point our son would not see him when he would wake up or before bed and that was hard. Don't get me wrong I love that I'm able to be at home while he works but being on the back burner with my husband job plus taking our family weekends was truly making me upset and getting into beginning of depression stage. I didn't hold it in I let what and how I felt be known. As well as when I cook dinner every night and having my son and I eating dinner by ourselves every night was getting old.

Don't get my wrong I'm never ungrateful for my husband working and for his job, but I do want my husband home with us at a decent time and our weekends. As well as its even harder when you don't do date night and take time for yourselves was taking a troll on me. Half of the time I thought why did we get our house so far away from my friends that I felt so alone but knew they were a phone call away.

It's now a new week it's a little better but I don't want to get my hopes all high. I have also let myself go but I'm getting back on track so I can at least feel happy about myself again.

Also I have told my husband many times that I don't think we will make it to celebrate our 8th anniversary in two weeks, but to be honest it's not that easy just to call it off just for a minor bump. Almost I love that man with all my heart that something so minor can be fix and changes can be made instead of calling off so quickly and just giving up!! Plus we have a son it truly is not that easy when you have a child involve.

Hey you may ask yourself our we happy and I can tell you 100 percent we are very happy just hit a minor bump! And ley me tell you money is not everything to me and my husband knows that. Money and material things won't keep me warm or play with our son. He, his health are way important to me than his job(it pays our bills and let us have our house) but he works to hard and I think we should for sure be able to enjoy it....like that saying You work hard to play hard and that's exactly what he needs to do as work will be there the next day. Let me add he works with wonderful people that if he has an emergency or need to get off early he can, but all other stuff should change too and I hope it will...stay tuned!!!

Lauren

P.S.
So now with that being said I'm here I'm back to do what I love and that blogging.

Also many thanks for sticking around with me!

P.S.S. Major love to the ladies who have to do it single every single day because it's truly is hard....thank God it was temporary but hey I found out I'm SuperMom after the last 4 weeks!!

Paper plate

Pour your paint onto a paper plate and use your wine corks as your paint brush. I trace my tree trunk on another piece of paper and glue it down to the one I was going to paint on. Start painting and have fun!

A Toddler Pinterest Project, was it A Pass or a Fail?

Today pinterest project was Lego Painting...Which was a complete pass until I saw paint around my son's mouth, yeah not to worry he's fine after a wipe down he was back at it again. Since having a kid and having Lego around the  house I honestly thought they could only be used to count with, color learning, building things, and oh yeah step on them in the middle of the night when you are half of sleep(they hurt). I never thought lego could be use for painting and who knew it would be so much fun...thanks pinterest for yet another great project idea. Here is what you need:

Paint
Legos(I used three, one for each color) Note: you could use any size and any color
Paper
Tablecloth

Now the fun part, pour your paint onto the tablecloth(shower curtain easy to clean) or paper plate. Start painting I must say I got into as well.

Here are a few pictures of our Lego's Painting

This was so much fun and can't wait to do it again!

P.S. First day of fall is Thursday come back and see what painting with a twist I have store to kick off Fall!!
