My dearest second son,
Your birth story is one to remember just like big brother, but yours was so lay back...in the words of your daddy it felt like a drive thru! Big brother birth was smooth until his heart rate disappear, and everyone was rushing in and out of our room trying to figure out what was next for us. Our doctor came in, and said it was time for us to go into the OR for an emergency csection. After a circle form which include many of our family, friends, the nurses, our doctor with great grandma/gigi leading in a prayer before we go into the OR to delivery your big brother. Many tears were shed and I was scared out of my mind, but at the end big brother came out fine.
Now yours was a scheduled birth and it was a csection since I had to have another because I had one with your brother. Your estimated due date was March 8th, but our doctor liked to delivery a week early so March 1st was our due date and that's the extract day you were born. The night before you were due your grandma, and buddy came over and we all went out to dinner as a family of three and enjoy eating and drinking before midnight. I was so nervous I couldn't even enjoy my food, but yet we were so excited and couldn't wait to meet you. As nervous as I was I couldn't get a goodnight sleep plus heartburn that night was no joke. March 1st came I try to sleep as much as I could, but it was time for us to get up and head to the hospital as we had to be there by 8:30 am. Your big brother woke up early and I got to take one last picture with him before you came, and do our normal morning routine with him before leaving to the hospital. Big brother stay home with grandma and buddy....we pack our bag in the car and we were off to go have you. Hospital check in was quick and we got there a few minutes late but it was all good as paperwork was filed out the day before. We check in, our nurse was called, and we walked to the back to our OR room to wait to be called into surgery. Gown was on, IVs was on, heart monitor was on, and we wait! Our regular time to have you was push up as doctor had an emergency c-section to do, but she did come in to check on us and ask if we were ready to go. Well the time has come I walked to the OR since it was right around the corner from where we were at and daddy waited for bit before he could go back there. A little after 11 am I was getting ready to have the c-section to have you. My back was numb from stomach to feet, and I had a reaction to the medicine but all was good. Daddy came in and little did I know the doctor had started to cut me open...I ask daddy, have they started yet? He said he's almost here. 11:35 am our world change! We became a family of four! We have another boy! Our Jonathan is now big brother! We heard your cries and saw you on a screen in the OR, yes they had a screen in the OR....crazy I know. You had trouble breathing as you swallow some fluid, so tube was going down your throat and I felt helpless as I was laying down and seeing what was going on. But daddy went to check up on you, and you were getting better. Daddy came back to my side and your nurse bought you to me...we took a picture. The nurse wanted you to cry and worked the lungs so whatever fluid you had left would clear out, that's what she told us. Than you and daddy went back to our recovery room as I was getting close up, and clean up than I got wheel back to the recovery room where you, daddy, and big brother was waiting for me. Big brother ask if I was ok and met you for the first time. I must add he along with grandma, buddy, and Gigi was waiting in the waiting room for us to have you. Daddy text them to say you were born along with a picture. A few hours later we got our room and everyone got to visit with us for awhile, and held you!! Mommy was feeling great as well as you were doing amazing!
With that being said March 1st as became another important date in our lives and we are truly blessed! You were born at 11:35 am, 7lbs, 8oz, 21.25 inches with a head full of hair. We couldn't be happier!
The journey as a family of four as begun! Mama of boys in full force as no more kids for us since I got my tubes tie during my surgery while having you. So you my little love is my last baby, and you and your big brother will always be my babies no matter what the age is.
Love always,
Your mama
