To my baby boy: Your birth story

We had your baby shower with the help of some amazing people who loved you, and were excited for your arrival. Things were ready for you, and we were waiting on you. Doctor appointments were once a week, and our doctor went out of town for a week around your due date. Your due date was August 30, 2014, and before our doctor went out of town she was hoping you were going to wait and guess what you did! Your due date came and gone and now we were going to be induced. The hospital was ready for us thanks to our doctor for scheduling us in as well as we filled out the paperwork before hand. September 4th we had our last doctor appointment before you came, our doctor was back from vacation and was happy to see we didn't have you. Our appointment was in the afternoon, and we needed to be at the hospital at 9pm. So once our doctor appointment was over we went home got things ready, load the car up, and daddy and I had our last dinner together as two. The time came around to head to the hospital, we check in and the waiting game started. We couldn't be happier, excited, and ready to start this new journey with you and as a family of three. Well time pass by and my mom/grandma came and stay at the hospital overnight with us as she didn't want to miss nothing. Progress was being made, epidural was in and was pain-free as well as oxygen mask was applied. Daddy and I try to sleep that night but couldn't as we were just ready for you.

Morning(September 5th, 2014) came around and still no sign of you but everything was going good. Doctor came in around 6 to check the status, and broke my water and said see you around 8 to have a baby. Visitors came in and out and my mom went to get breakfast for daddy. Great Grandma came and waited around, along with a few friends, and a cousin. 8am came around and still nothing yet and no signs of you coming out. We waited some more, than around noon everything went downhill doctor was call to come back, and nurses was coming in and out. I cried, daddy ask questions and come to find out your heart rate was gone, I was not in good shape, and nurses continue to come in and out (which freak us out because one to many at a time than normal). Doctor came and made a decision to go for a csection, but I didn't want that and try everything to prevent it but didn't work. Before going in for the csection still crying, along with everyone emotions was going high and I still was not ready as I was scared. Daddy kept calm and knew everything was going to be OK. The room was ready, daddy got ready, I was ready, and everyone form a circle around me as we all hold hands including our doctor and the nurses and grandma/great grandma said a beautiful prayer for you, daddy, and I along with our doctor and the nurses who was going to be involved in the csection. See baby boy we waited so long for you along with everyone else who loved us, and we just didn't want nothing happening to you nor me as we were ready to start this new journey as a family!

It was time I was rolled out of our room to the operating room, and daddy was right behind us and everyone else who was there stay in the waiting room. I kept asking for daddy once they got me settle down, and they were ready to start, than he was right by our side in no time. Daddy was there by our side, holding my head,  I was nervous, tears coming down, and I said a pray.....

And at 2:09pm(September 5th) we had a boy, you! You didn't cried or anything but you were ok. I lay there and daddy went with you. They cleaned you, run test on you, and put something in your eyes and you didn't like that. Finally daddy came back to my side, and said great he has your toes...lol. After everything they handed you to daddy, and I was able to see you, couldn't hold you yet but they along with daddy put you next to me. I talked to you and we took a few pictures thanks to our nurses! Once you were out doctor had to take a few cyst out that were growing while I was pregnant with you, and we didn't want problems later on. They got you and the cyst out successfully!

I was clean up, back into a bed, they put you with me, and we were rolled out back to our room. Daddy was behind us and family was waiting to see you...they kept asking daddy where was the baby and I kept pointing that you were in my arms. Once we got settle into our room we had a few visitors that were there, and even late in the evening. No one could hold you just yet, nor really come near me as my blood pressure was high and I could have had a seize. When everybody left they took you to the nursery so daddy and I could sleep as it was a long day.

Next day you came into our room at 6am and we could not have been more excited to have you with us! Our journey had started we went from a family of 2 to three and we couldn't be happier. Thankful everything came out good for you and I.

After few days we were ready to take you home and start this new chapter in our lives!

Baby boy since having you it has been a joy. It was a crazy roller coaster that day, but it was so worth it and I will be forever thankful to God for you!

I love you my sweet baby boy!!

Diy Easter wreath

Pick your colors and whatever else you want on your wreath

My wreath has these colors, bunny ears, and eggs.

Note you can pick how ever many colors you would like and it will be 1 roll of each color.

Supplies
Wreath (Wire) Whatever size you like, here a picture of the wreath not the size I used but just to give you an idea. Reminder the bigger the wreath the more stuff you need including more rolls of tulle.

Tulle

Bunny ears

Ring(to use to hang on the door)

Ribbon(a piece)

Glue Gun

Plastic eggs

Scissors

Cardboard box( piece of 8 in)

2 rubber bands

Lets getting started

Open your roll of tulle using your cardboard box as a guided by wrapping your tulle around over and over again however many times, but note to self don't make it to thick where it will be hard to cut. Once done cut the end attach to the roll. Grab your rubber bands put on each end, and cut through. Pictures below

Once cut remove from cardboard and you will have pieces on both side, gather them together and repeat this step with the other colors. Once you got your colors cut you can get started, but reminder you may need to cut more of your colors as you go.

Now that you have you pieces cut you can get started but first grab your ring and run your ribbon through your ring. Using the hot glue gun, glue your ribbon(open your ribbon glue it together) on to your wreath, center that is.

I glue the ring on one of the dividers of the wreath to make it my center. Picture below to show you what the wreath and the dividers look like

When you are done with the ring. You may get started with the tulle. On this wreath I used the last two inner wires. Started you pattern. Grab a piece of color tulle and fold it in half. I using the split knot on the wreath. Fold it in half, grab the middle of your tulle put it through your wreath and used the end of the tulle by pulling it through the tulle loop...there you have a split knot, pull it tight. Pictures below

Repeat this step until you are done with your wreath.

Here is a picture of the back of the wreath, you don't have to use the whole wreath just to two inner wires.

Here you have it..glue your ears in the back and you are done

But once it was up, I figure it was missing something...now I am done the eggs added the touch

Happy Crafting! Please share your wreath with me once done.

Valentine's Day

Well yesterday we started with just us, but came home at 9:30pm because we miss our baby boy and my mom had to go home early due to her husband having to work Sunday. Once we were home we watch a movie, and played with our son, than bed time we go. Than Valentine's Day..my husband went and got breakfast and than as I was washing my face and brushing my teeth, I hear someone yelled out mama, mama..I dry my face and hands I looked up and saw my son hold a card and husband holding his card and roses from both of them...priceless and held back my tears as I couldn't help but to think how bless I am. After all that we ate breakfast, shower, and baby boy took a quick nap, than once he got up we started our day. It was haircuts, chuck e cheese fun, early dinner, and than came home to take my son a ride in his car around the neighborhood. Now after a warm bath, his milk he is out for the night and my honey and I are watching Adele live from London as its a kick off of her performing at the Grammys tomorrow night.

I can honestly say from Saturday night till this evening everything has been perfect and memories have been made. I am truly blessed and thankful to have my boys in my life. I have been celebrating Valentine's Day with my honey since 2005, and with my son since 2015...this year was his second Valentine's Day with us, and I look forward to celebrating many more with them.

From my boys and I Happy Valentine's Day!

To my baby boy: Your journey before the big day

It's been 17 months since you came into the world, and let me tell you my world is a lot better with you in it.

See when we first found out we were pregnant with you, your daddy and I suffer from miscarriage not known if it was a boy or girl after two years of being marry. From there doctors told us that if we wanted kids I would need help to have kids. Well after five years of marriage came, celebrated, and gone...mommy was sick nonstop. Due to me being sick the way I was it for sure never dawn on me that I may be pregnant, until a few days pass I was nauseous and could stand the small of anything. I get up and get your daddy coffee, breakfast ready before work, and around this time getting up making coffee and breakfast for your daddy was a little hard. So one night your daddy got home from we went to grab dinner, and went to Walmart to buy a pregnancy test(2 pack) came home try to eat dinner but couldn't do it, as I was feeling so sick. I was scared, tired of feeling so sick and knew I wasn't  pregnant but was just going to take the test to see. I left daddy at the dinning room table, went to go do the test put it on top of the counter and came back and sit with your daddy until the time was up. Ummm waiting and waiting while trying to eat dinner, daddy was on the phone than time was up and I went to go get the stick and sure enough saw the word Pregnant! Came to your daddy to show him the result I was shocked, happy, scared(because of what happen before), nervous and finally got down to why I was feeling so sick. Your daddy was beyond himself!

So now that we had answers to why I was feeling the way I feeling, my goal was to make a doctor appointment as soon as possible. Due to us finding out on Thursday it was kind of hard to get appointment on Friday. After finding a doctor and was able to send an email Thursday night, the doctor office called me Friday morning and I couldn't help but to cried because I was scared and feeling so nauseous..the lady over the phone told me not to worry, everything was going to be OK and gave me some great tips to help from be nauseous until my appointment Monday afternoon. By this time it was the weekend we went to the store to by two more pregnancy test(4 total) still same results...lol!

Monday came around daddy went to work but got out early to take me to our appointment. It was appointment time. We went in nervous but couldn't help but to smile from ear to ear but still nauseous. Your daddy there by my side holding my hand. They call our name went to the back, took my weight and went into a room. It was time the ultrasound tech came in did some measurements ask questions. Once done walked out than walked back in with the doctor, new patients/first time parents here but felt really welcomed and everyone was so nice including the doctors. Well doctor did the same exact thing as the tech, but the only difference is he ask us if we would like to hear your heartbeat. Yes baby boy first appointment and we were already able to hear your heart you were already two months, and your daddy and I couldn't help but to smile and thank god. Of course we couldn't help but to ask the question What are the chances of having a miscarriage again? To our surprised doctor said we were pass that stage and come the end of August we would welcome baby boy or girl. Also nothing was going to change as we were going to be first time parents! After our appointment, we got our welcome parent kit, vitamins, than we went upstairs to get blood work done and set up our appointment with another doctor since the doctor we first met didn't delivery anymore.

Once they took blood work we call both grandmas and great grandma to let them know we were having a baby! From there we stop at babies r us to look around and bought a baby aboard sign to announce it to our friends and family that we were going to be first time parents, and a baby was coming soon. We also made a few phone calls as well.

So our journey begins until it was time for you to arrival. Doctor appointment after another and the whole time your daddy was by our side. Blood work after blood work, glucose test, vitamins, iron pills, daddy craving, to determine what you were going to be, oh yeah mommy being nauseous and thinking she couldn't do it, pain come and go, energy one minute to no energy, being able to sleep comfortable to not so comfortable, oh my we were on the road to getting ready to be first time parents!

Thanks to Google Image for this wonderful qutoe

Waiting for you to come was worth the wait, and now that you are here I would not have it any other way. I can't picture my life without you, and hope I never have too! Every moment I have with you, get with you is truly a blessing, and I cherish every bit of it!

You know the reason I wrote this is to let my little boy know his/our journey before he got here. With everything that happen before is proof to never say never, and everything is in God hands and on his time!

Love,
Mommy

P.S. Another letter coming soon about his birth, keep an eye out!
