A Toddler Pinterest Project, Is it A Pass or Fail?

I'm a big fan of Pinterest and now I'm in the stage of tasting out or making things to see if it failed or pass in my eyes along with my judges my husband and son. So this time I made a sensory project for my toddler (almost 19 months old), he's getting older and since I have childcare experience we are working on colors, numbers, and abcs and of course all the basic stuff. I'm proud to say he knows his color orange. I'm not stressing nor pushing him as he will show me when he's ready and we will work at his own pace.

With that being said here is the project that I saw on Pinterest and it's a pass with me and with my son, and plus side it's super easy to do.

Materials:

Pringles can
Pipe clearners
Markers
Reinforcement stickers
Scrapbook paper
Glue
Hole Puncher(hole Puncher didn't work so daddy got a screwdriver and heat the end up to make holes in the sticker on the top)
Scissors

First step wrap your Pringles can using the scarpbook paper on your choice

Second step grab your Pringles top and place your stickers on it, give some room as you will be coloring the sticker. Once stickers are place, use the hole as a guide and since hole puncher didn't work my husband heated up the end of a screwdriver, and made the hole on the top within the sticker. When the time comes to coloring the stickers of course match the colors to the colors of the pipe cleaners.

Third the whole pipe cleaners didn't fit in the Pringles can so I fold them in half and cut them to make more.

Finally you are done and ready to have some fun!

Like I said before it was easy, my son loves it, and it was a Pinterest pass!

Stay tuned to see if the next Pinterest project will be another pass or a fail!!!

Plastic Eggs=Toddler fun

Since Easter was yesterday and I have all these eggs, instead of tossing them or putting them away for next year...well nope new project in the making! Here it goes:

Since I'm a mommy to a toddler and always look for ideas and thinking of ideas on the stuff I have in my home instead going out and buying things. I have everything I need so here is my little project for my son who is a toddler and is learning everything and everything is new to him.

Get your eggs out, pull them apart, write down your number on the eggs and you have matching the number game and color. I did one to fifteen but we are working on one to five and I have more to do the other numbers.

Another game you can do is just pull them apart and hide them around your place have them match the colors of the eggs.

Those are the two I can think but stay tuned because as the days gone I may think of other things to do with the eggs.

Below are my pictures:

Easter Weekend Recap

Here is my Easter recap:

It started Friday with a Easter egg hunt with a mommy group I am in who have babies the same year as my son. It was also my son second Easter but first egg hunt. Another mommy and I put this together and was hoping for a good turnout, and sure enough we had a good turnout and everyone brought eggs including the mommy that I helped put four golden eggs with zoo passes in there. While at the park the daddies that were there help us by hiding the eggs for us, than once they were done it was time to go get the eggs. You know for it being my son first egg hunt he got the hang of it right away and let me tell you it's nothing like being a parent seeing your little ones running around getting the eggs was amazing to see. As well as capturing pictures and seeing everyone capturing pictures of their little ones was priceless and to have daddy there was even better(first time parents here). After the egg hunt, capturing pictures, getting to know some of the moms, we than headed out to have lunch just three of us. Once lunch was done we came home for bit and mommy and daddy went to the movies to watch Batman vs Superman while my mom and her husband watch our son it was a quick day date but we enjoyed the time together. As the day was coming to an end we stop to visit my sister/best friend who had some Easter goodies for my son, we chatted for a bit than came home and called it a night.

Than Saturday we went and grab breakfast, went grocery shopping, and was just around our home and a couple and their kids came and visit us and see our home as they didn't make it to our housewarming party and had some goodies for our home and a bunny for my son. While they were here they have a son who is almost 3 played with our son in the backyard and my son had a blast that after dinner, a bath, and his milk he was out..lol!

Finally it was Easter Sunday....Happy Easter!!
We got up did our morning routine than I made breakfast, clean the kitchen, we all got ready to head out, but before that my son woke up came to the living room and we showed him what the Easter bunny left him and it was his basket that mommy and daddy started putting together since beginning of March. Oh yeah between Friday and Sunday I put the candy inside the eggs during the week so come the weekend I would not have a lot to do. Also the confetti eggs I worked on saving since January and put them together during the week, while guess what I forgot them....yay me and I have been kicking myself for that! Ok ok let's get back to the day now that we were ready we headed out to my husband friend's house for some fun. We got there ate, waited for more people and talked a bit and than ate some more..lol. Than it was time my husband and some other people hid the eggs and than the little kids started the egg hunt after that the big kids came. After the egg hunt it was a confetti egg fight and a fun one at that because during the egg hunt it was a mix of confetti eggs, eggs with candy than eggs with money in it...yes you heard right there was eggs with money in it and my son was one of the lucky ones. Finally it was time for us to come home and call it a night but before that we went to visit my laws where my son had more Easter goodies waiting for him from my brother in law. They visit with my son for bit, of course we chatted with them, my husband had coffee with his dad and than we came home. We had been gone all afternoon so after everyone took a bath we were all out for the night, and it felt good to be in bed. A great day it was more like a great weekend!

In conclusion this was my son's second Easter and let me tell you it was great one and memories were made that will be cherish forever. Now we wait until next year and see if we can top this one off as the first one was nothing big, so this one top off last year!  I leave you with pictures of our weekend:

Until next year!!

A month from today I will be 30

A month from today I will be 30, but before the times comes I will enjoy my last days in my 20s and make the most of it. 20s have been good to me and I'm excited to see what my 30s have in store for me. Each day I get is a blessing and the greatest gift from God and only hope, pray he bless me with many more days/birthdays with my family and loved ones.

Before I say goodbye to my 20s I would like to share the important memories that happen to me in my 20s:

Married 22 and still married
Had a baby boy
Bought a house
And so much more

I also would like to share with you that I have learn a lot from before to even after becoming a mommy. I now know that you can't force people to like you, nor accepted you for who you are and it's ok because at the end I am loved by many. Beside that be who you are because either way being fake is never good, and people well my loved ones love me for me and I don't need to be fake to them for them to like me. Another thing I have learn will this is after becoming a mommy is everything is about my little family, and making memories for them, with them, and involving the ones that want to be in our memory and make memories with us. Than becoming a homeowner it's nice from an apartment and so much more space...oh I love it or shall I say we loved it!

Now that my 20s are coming closer to an end I will continue to enjoy the last month, and be thankful for everything that has happen in my 20s! I have lived, learn, enjoy every moment, made memories, and I will do the same in my 30s.

I will close 20s with a bang and welcome 30s on April 22th with a bigger bang....so stay tuned!!

Cascarones- Confetti eggs/ How to make them

Cascarones is a big thing for the Hispanics for Easter time, and it's so much fun to see kids to adults running around trying to get each other. I will show you how to make them in bit but in the meantime here is a link about the history of Cascarones:

Cascarones known as confetti eggs are filled with confetti or unless you are like some people I know they filled their eggs up with flour or baby powder.

When I made my eggs I use confetti that I had saved from last year..so now let's get started first saved however many dozen you like. Of course when you start saving them you have to make a hole in the top of the egg enough to get the egg out and than clean the shall and let them dry inside.

Once dry get your maratrials, you will need your dye plus whatever else you need on the back of the box, also tissue paper, confetti eggs or whatever you want to put in eggs, scissors, and a glue stick.

Follow the steps on your dye box

I need six cups with water and vingaer for certain colors, and put each color tablet in each cup

Once colors tablets were dissolve you are ready to start

Than when the eggs were done I would put them on the back of the carton face down so they could dry

When they were done drying I would put them back in the carton the right way, and let the inside dry overnight.

Next morning I got my confetti, tissue paper, scissor, and glue stick

The tissue need to be cut into nice size squares to cover your hole

After gathering your materials start putting your confetti inside the eggs, once you are done putting your confetti inside. Next grab your glue stick and rub the glue around the hole and cover it with a piece a tissue.

Now that your eggs are cover you now have Cascarones and they are ready to go!! Happy Easter and hope you have fun!!

Our first trip to the Rodeo with a child plus a list of items to take in your diaper bag

Last Friday one of my husband's co-workers gave him tickets to the rodeo yesterday. So with him taking Friday off unexpectedly, we decide to head out to the rodeo in the afternoon and start our adventure and our first with a child. We made memories that were unforgettable! We took our baby boy to petting zoo, walked around, dance, ate, than once inside we put his ear plugs in and enjoy his first concert ever. It was by far the greatest experience to have with him! Seeing him dancing, clapping, and yelling was priceless! Who knew we would have so much fun, and looking forward to doing it again and make many more new memories with him!

P.S. We went to the rodeo with a 17 month old, and we woke up Saturday morning to a 18 month old. My baby boy is a year in half already, can't believe it!

Before showing a little glance of our first Rodeo trip here is a list of what to pack in your diaper bag, since this was the first time we took child we wanted to make sure we were not over or under pack.

Here is the list:
Don't forget your tickets
Diapers ( Since we went in the afternoon I packed about 6 diapers, and every time we were by a restroom or went to the restroom we would check him/change him.
Light weight stroller( Easy to fold just in case you are going inside to watch the show, and can fold up and go underneath the chair.
Hand sanitizer
Hand and face wipes
Extra set of clothes
Wipes
Snacks( he ate whatever we ate)
Thermal cup with water( of course he drank lemonade and a little bit coke)
Light jacket( just in it get cold at night)
Blanket
Sun Tan Lotion

This is what I had in my diaper bag for my little one, and it worked out perfect.

Now here is a little glance of our first rodeo trip

So much food, so little time! Here is what we ate, but didn't get a picture of it...we had turkey leg, a sausage on a stick.but did get a picture of the curly fires the three of us ate off of and it had cheese...yummy!

Than here are a few pictures inside the stadium and some Jason Durelo, since this the concert ever for my son.

After this people are surprise to found out we took are son, and to tell you the truth I was a little scared because he's still a little to young. Young or not we wanted to take him and glad we did, because this day will go down as a memorable and great one. My son may only be a year old but he truly enjoyed as well as we did too. Would I do take him again? Absolutely!

Have gone to the rodeo with your kids? What did you pack in your diaper? Did y'all enjoy?

Hello March

It's a new month, and I am making a change. I have less than two months to go before my 30th birthday, and three weeks to go before Easter. I started yesterday, and continue today with my workout, and get back on track and start losing weight again. You see before I got pregnant I was so happy, comfortable in my body that I wore a dress to my brother in law wedding( I normally don't wear dresses). After that I found out I was pregnant and we went from there. I knew I gained weight and I only felt it around my stomach area. Plus every doctor appointment I had, I had to step on my best friend( the scale, not) and believe it or not the nurse never told me if I gain weight nor how much my weight was..shocker I know but it felt good. Than after baby I went down a bit, let's just say I was in my old clothes.

Now almost 18  months later I can still fit in my clothes and I am happy, but I can see I have gain weight and I am not comfortable....so now it's time to make a change!!!

I plan on trying to get back to before I had my son, but if I can drop just a little where I am happy and comfortable I will be fine. So now it's time to get to work, but I love to eat and I do have controlled ok ok stay FOCUS! No more using that excuse I don't have time nor I can't, I can and will make time and include my son if I have too.

Here a picture of me before baby, well I found out a few weeks after this picture was taken I was expecting

Here's a picture after baby

I'm not putting a picture of me now, because it's under construction...stay tuned!

Love this image from Google, and it fits this posted perfect!
