Last day of 2013, and what a year

2013 another year it has been and it has been great one and very enjoyable with lots of great memories and life lesson learn.

2013 there is nothing I would change and I welcome 2014 with open arms!

Well let's look back of 2013:

Making memories with friends who are like family.

Friendship growing closer together.

Blessed to have a few best friends who are like sisters to me, and bless to have them in my life. I also just love how they are all different in there own way.

Hanging out with my grandma a lot more

Starting my own little business/it's getting better day by day

Learning how to sew from the best teacher my grandma and her passing down her sewing machine to me.

Getting more and more invlove in crafts

Spending time with my in laws, and mom and of course family

Celebrating another year of my birthday and my husband, as well as seeing friends, family, nieces and nephews celebrate another year.

My husband and I celebrating our fifth wedding anniversary, and looking forward to many more.

Focusing on my weight lost, and I am a lot happier and plan to stick to it, and going to eat right.

Blessed to have and see another day and thankful for god, my life, my husband, friends, and family in my life!

I did my first 5k and enjoy every bit of it, and can't wait to do more

I have many more items but those were a few!!

2013 we will be leaving behind but with a smile! 2014 is going to be another great year and great things and great memories in store for us!

I have learn many things but one things I know for sure is that in 2014 true friends will still be there, and some will go on with their lives without our friendship...it's nothing to be sad because we grow and so does the friendship grow together or it grows apart!

Live life to fullest with a smile because it's just to short! Stress, heartache, and unexpected things come, but just know better days are ahead as long as you keep your head up because everything will be good!

My first voxbox from influenster

I got the #jollyvoxbox and the products inside were complimentary for testing purposes from influenster! My opinions and reviews are truly coming from me, and I am not getting paid or gaining anything by doing this!

Now let's get started on these wonderful products and my reviews to these products:

1. Puffs Ultra Soft and Strong to go Tissue Pack: My husband and I both have sensitive nose, and when it comes to sickness! Well it seen like I got these just on time as my husband came down with a cold invloving a running nose. I got to use one and love how soft they are and love how they have lotion in it, my husband loves how it doesn't leave his nose red and can wipe, blowing his nose with no problems. Thanks to puffs ultra soft and strong to go tissue...I will be buying more of these to go packs just to have for the future. 

2. NYC New York Color HD color trio eye shadow: I am just not able to just put any color on since my skin is so light, and love the fact that these eye shadow happen to be the perfect color for me. I love the smokey eyes look and love these colors.

3. Rimmel London New Show Off Lip Lacquer: Love how the tube is small and can go just about anywhere with me, or my husband can carry it for me. Not many lipsticks carry many colors, but this one has 14 different shades in stores.

4. Skinny Cow Candy: They are the bomb.com! I happen to get the peanut butter flavor, and before saying this and that I try it out and they are pretty good. I love how three come to a pack and they are low in calories and very small pieces, and it's all up to you to share or keep them for yourself.  I had a pack after dinner and shhh I kept them all for me!

5. Duckings-Mini duct tape: Mini duct tape are awesome, and love the different design that they offer and love the low price deal. I have seen kids use these and love how it adds extra style to it, without costing a arm and a leg!

This #jollyvoxbox was my first one and I look forward to getting many more, so keep an look out my readers for the special reviews and my opinions!!

Thanksgiving went great, it was busy but very enjoyable!!

December came in and yes we started the month off with an early birthday party for my niece, and from here on out we plan to make the last month of the year a great one and end the year with a bang!!

Now that this is the last month what do you plan on doing beside ending it with a bang!

Today as any other day I won't worry about anything or let anything come in my way! Today I will celebrate and be thankful as I am all the time for all and for everyone in my life!! Today I am thankful as any other day for my husband, good friends, and my family extended ones too! I am thankful to have another year another thanksgiving with my grandma, and only pray that she has many more! I thankful for me, for life, and for having another day! Also thankful to god for the blessings, the good, the bad, and the life lessons that I have learn from!!

Day 26: Thankful for my weight lost...I have came a long way and it hasn't been easy, but it has been worth it! I thank my support system...and of course the people who have called me names because without you I would not have made a change! I am also proud of myself for making this change, and I love how happy I am and how comfortable I am! You know at the end of it all I will love myself, be happy with myself, and continue with what I have work hard for!

Day 25: Thankful that I am able to call my grandma and just talk about anything and everything! I also love her stories and love how we share laughter together, and I also just love checking on her and see how she is doing!

Day 22: Thankful for date nights with my husband..it can be anything and it doesn't have to be expense! I am just bless and truly thankful to spend time with him, and I truly enjoy every minute with him!

Day 21: Thankful for my husband! No matter how is work day is, or how long is day is, he still comes home and takes care of what needs to be taken care of at home...like yesterday with my car, and than again today with my car! I love that husband of mine like crazy!!

Day 17: Thankful that god doesn't like ugly and that I have had, and still have many people who doesn't like me for me and talk bad about me! I am who I am and at the end they will always get what is coming to them....no need for me to be mean, or ugly to them because in due time they will get what is coming to them!

My best friends who are family, and love how they are all different and they all hold a spacial place in my heart! Some have known me since I was eight years old and now we are more like sister/family, some I went to school with and still keep in touch with, and some I just met a few years back but we have gotten closer as the years go by! Love how when we do talk we can talk for days, and when we see each other we have a good time and enjoy each others company! My circle may not be big like others, but one thing for sure is each one of them know the true meaning of friendship, and they love me for me!

Day 12: I'm thankful for...

My uncles and aunts...and love each one of them, and I just wish and want nothing but the best for them! They all hold a different place in my heart and I love how they are all different!! I got some good dancers, good listener, they are funny, don't hold back on what they have to say, and of course some good cooks, and many other things!  No matter what age I am, I will show respect them, and care for them and love them even if some are a pain(just kidding)!!

Thankful to the past, present, and to the future ones for making the difficult choice and risking you own life for your country! Y'all will never be forgotten and will always be honor for what y'all have done for this country and for our freedom! Thank you!

Day 10: Thankful for my mom..again!

Each day I will put what I am thankful for and some may be double posted, and again I am sharing you what I am thankful for in my life! Here is another thankful posted for day 10 is my mom, yes again because my mom and grandma hold a place in my heart! These two ladies have a relationship with me that is different with each of them and it's a blessing!  

My mom and I have our shares of many things, and yes our relationship can be rocky and can start at a later age, but what mother and daughter relationship is perfect and of course we share laughter and share tears either together or by ourselves! She is her own person, and I am my own person and we are different, we can for sure disagree on things, and not talk for hours or days, I may not like her desicions, and she may not like mines, and have good times with laughter...but I know I have her for help or my grandma but I don't need it because I am blessed and thankful for my husband! I also may get on her bad side, or she may get on my bad side, and we can say things to each other that we may not like.... but I have learn not to let her get to me because life to short to worry about that kind of stuff and it doesn't bother me!

Day 10: Thankful for my grandma again..what can I say beside she is amazing!

She is my world and I would do anything for her...her and I have a special relationship that I will always cherish and continue to enjoy when I am with her! Her faith and heart is so strong and it has rub off on me(what can I say I learn from the best), because of her I believe in god, miracles, and prayer is powerful! One of my many childhood memories that I cherish and can share with you, is getting dress up in Sunday best, and going to church! You know now that I am older and married I make time for us to go to church, but when we don't go it doesn't me I dont believe in god! My faith is strong, and I pray and thank god for everything in my life and for her of course and for getting me up early on Sundays for church! Grandma has been a shoulder to lean on and is there for me, and now I am happy to do just as much for her as she did for me!!!

I love her and thank god for her each and everyday I hear her voice and see her, and for blessing her with many more years and to contine to bless her with many more!

Day 9: My thankful posted

I'm thankful for my mom, she can be truthful, tell it like it is, and offer a lot of love, and is funny, crazy and sometimes a pain(just kidding)! She is my mom and we for sure have our shares of ups, and downs, good, and bad times, and she can tell me like it is...but at the end of the day she is mom, my only parent and I love her and is truly thankful for her!

Sorry for the late posted, I have been at the hospital all day visiting my uncle!

My grandma, she is a strong, amazing lady who I love very much! I pray that god gives me her strength, and let us have many more years together! I love how we can talk about anything, laugh about everything, love hanging out with her, and of course our phone calls..and also love hearing her stories from back then!! Memories that I will cherish forever, and I am truly blessed and thankful for her!

Day 6: I'm thankful

For my customers the new ones and the returning ones who love my tutus and wreaths and come back wanting more. It has turn from a hobby to a little business, take has kept me business and is very fun! I also love how my husband, friends, and family and of course my customers believe in me to try new projects... and I love doing new projects or even trying it out.

Day 5: I'm thankful for....

The person I am today I have gotten a lot stronger, and wont let people take advantage of me or mistake my kindness for weakness! I am a person with such a big sweet caring heart, and wont let people take advantage of that. I dont worry about others unless I need to, or they want me too. I also dont worry about the non sense, I live a drama free life on my end because life is to short! I am love by many and hate by many, but I am who I am and I am blessed and thankful!

Day 5: Double Thankful

I am thankful for facebook! I will not use my facebook to talk bad about others, talk mess, start something, or even disrespect others because that's not me! I use facebook to keep in touch with family from in town, to out of town and friends...I dont see yall as much, but I do thank god for facebook for allowing me to see my cousins, aunts, uncles and friends and of course the pictures! Since we all have our own lives, I thank god for facebook for allowing us to keep in touch!

Well anniversary weekend became a 4 day weekend for my husband and it sure has been one enjoyable weekend, and I would not have it any other way!

Happy fifth wedding anniversary to us!

January 14, 2008 we started dating... November 3, 2007 you ask me to be your wife and I said yes, November 1, 2008 we said I do to each other and we became husband and wife!

Now today we are celebrating our fifth wedding anniversary and nothing but the best has happen to me since you came into my life. This is the greatest feeling to mark this milestone with you, and may we be bless with many more. You becoming my husband has been the best thing in my life, you are my world, my rock, my everything! You and I can drive each other crazy, we are crazy about each other, we share many good times and bad times together, a lot of laughter together, and have many memories and crazy moments together....and honestly I look forward to making more of these moments/memories with you because it has been a huge blessing to have all this with you, and more and I would not have it any other way!

Happy fifth wedding anniversary my love, I pray we celebrate many more wedding anniversary together! Thank you for being my husband, my love, my best friend, my #1, my world, my everything!

Our five year wedding anniversary....a week from today

A week from today we will be celebrating our fifth wedding anniversary and boy has it been a great five years! We got our ups, downs, good, and bad times and of course driving each other crazy as well a lot of laughter in the mix but all of this is the greatest blessing ever! We loved each other from day one, and we are still crazy in love with each other and only hope and pray we are blessed with many more years!

New project updated

Is coming together great, and I will take my time and it will be a work in progress to get it perfect...but I am proud of myself and I now know I can do it!

It was a hairbow holder with a tutu and here are my pictures but not comfortable yet to put up for sale, due to I want my customers happy with their products and I want my products Perfect! 

Day of the Dead also known as Dia de Muertos

Day of the Dead in Spanish Dia de Muertos is a holiday that is not only celebrate in Mexico but as well as all over the world on the first and second day of November. As any another day this is a day of remembrance of the loved ones that have been lost, and a day to remember them by taking gifts to their graves and gathering the family together to eat their favorite foods and drinks along with a memory wall/alter.

Here is a little of how Mexico celebrate the day of the dead

November 1st is the day that family get together and remember the little ones that they have lost also called the day of the little ones, and November 2nd is for the adults that have lost their lives. The family get together have alter/ a memory wall of their loved ones pictures with candles and flowers called Marigolds and a skull as well the family take gifts to their graves and decorate them.



Around the world also celebrate and here is Brazil where they visit the graves and churches, Spain and Europe has parades with festivals and than gather at the graves and pray for them as well somewhat the same for Asian and African.

I know about this day but my family and I do not celebrate this day but I have been to friends house where have seen them make their loved ones favorite foods and drinks, as well seen the alter set up with there loved ones pictures as well as hear how wonderful their loved ones were. You know what there were a few times that I knew that person and was able to share some stories which was great to be able to do that!

A month from today...

My husband and I will be celebrating our fifth wedding anniversary on November 1st a month from today and we are both excited. We have nothing big plan besides enjoying the day well all weekend, and my husband took time off from work, and we plan on taking fall pictures(can't wait for that).

As our anniversary is a month away I look back and thank god for blessing me with such a wonderful, amazing husband who not only loves me, but take care of me and is there for me when I need him for the bad and the good. We have been together since 2005 and of course married since 2008 and I have love every minute being with him and love the time with have together, and only hope that we can get many more years together!

You know there is never a dull moment with my husband and I, and here is something I would like to share

Me: I hope we have many more years together babe

Husband: We will babe, we are going to be in a home together and when that nurse come in and touch you, I will tell him don't touch my wife and hit him with my walker/cane!

Me: LOL...it goes the same with you!

Love that we can have those dull moments, and share many laughter together!

Weather changing...Well perfect time to read a good book!

Beside crafts, wife, cooking, and hanging out with friends, and family, I do like to pick up a good book and read and I have the perfect one for you 50 shades of grey...yes I said 50 shades of grey!

Fall, weather is changing, and it's the prefect time of the year to read a book espcailly 50 shades of grey! I love this time of the year because it's a great time to read a good book and of course the holidays. 

So now go get in your favorite pjs, grab a favorite blanket, the 50 shades of grey and go get comfortable in  your cozy spot and start reading! If you decide after a few pages that you don't like what you are reading, please don't stop because that is exactly what my mom did, and she than pass them to me after reading a few pages as well I knew exactly why she stop but I didn't and I am happy I finish all the books. Yes it is a wild, crazy and the language is some what bad but the story will not let you down and for me when I got to the ending of the last book I was suprised, and happy all together.

50 shades of grey books is great and they won't let you down, and it's great to read no matter what time of the year and I hope you will or have enjoy the books just as much as I did.

First 5k Run/Walk

Two years ago or even one year ago my weight was getting to me and I was feeling down about myself, and on top of it all it didn't help that people were telling me I am getting fat or I'm fat!

Let's fast forward to today and I am proud to say I am comfortable with myself still working out, and losing weight, eating right but I'm Happy!

Well I am also proud to say that I even did my first 5k run/walk today it was the run or dye run, and I honestly felt proud when I cross the finish. It was fun, great, loved it, and enjoy it even more because I did it with my best friends/sisters(team rainbow brites). Beside that there were two other ladies who are now my friends it was there first time as well, and we started together, than cross the finish line together with help from my sis/best friend who was behind us encouraging us and that was beyond awesome.

So if you are thinking about doing a run/walk go for it, dont say you can't do it because you can!

Happy September

August came and it was a busy month...now we say hello to September and I welcome football, cold weather, hot chocolate, sweet bread, and many more with open arms!

September will be another busy month but not as crazy, and I do look forward to my husband and I fifth wedding anniversary because exactly two months from today we will be celebrating.

Going to a toga party? I have your diy toga costumes!

Got a toga party in mind or going to one in a near future, well I can help with your costume.

We had a party to go to this pass weekend and of course I was looking for last minute costume, until my best friend told me just to make them instead of going out and spending money. So that's what my husband and I did, and we were out looking for the things we needed on friday night and Saturday morning(the day of the party) and with the help with my grandma we had costumes ready to go the day of the party.

Here it goes we went to walmart got our white twin bed sheets at $4.00 each, and gold trim for 97 cents, gold ribbon for $2.47, once we were done grandma's house we go! Grandma only knew what we wanted by pictures and our measurements, she had no patterns, but when you look at the picture...she did a great job! Saturday morning we had to run a few errands but manage to find our leaves crown for $1.17 each at a party store, and our rope at the dollar store for only 1.00.....but I am not done yet I didnt want to go by sandals so my husband gave me the idea to wrap the leftover trim around my sandals, and tie at the end of the strap and wrap around my legs, and I have my sandals ready to go!

So at end of everything 20.00 for our toga costumes, grandma making them....Priceless!

Happy 55th birthday to My Mom

Happy 55th birthday Mom! You know you are pretty amazing lady (just like grandma)and yes we may have our ups, and downs, good times, and bad, and of course I drive you crazy.....but hey I put it in a way that I am to glad we have that relationship! I thank god for blessing me with you and for making us a prefect match. I hope you have an amazing day, and I pray to god that he continues to bless you with many more years!

Happy 27th birthday to me

Today I celebrate another birthday and I thank god for letting me have another year, and may he bless me with many more! This day as any other day I am forever grateful and thankful for my life, my amazing husband, wonderful friends, and my crazy family as well as the blessings that have came my way!

Tonight my wonderful husband will be cooking steaks, baked potatoes, and a side salad and no restaurant will beat a home cooked meal provided by him!

Welcome 27 I will embrace you, and as people tell me I am getting old or I am getting closer to 30(Lol)....I will enjoy it as any other birthday!

Hello April

March was a great month now we welcome April my birthday month with open arms! We had a very busy March and this passed weekend was Easter, which we got to spend some time with our best friends/second family.

Now April is here is the first Monday and the husband is back to work(crazy hours) after a three day weekend.

It's Rodeo time

Houston Livestock show and Rodeo is what I look forward to each year. I just love going to concerts, seeing the bull riding, other shows, and the different vendors, as well as the good food, and just hanging out and having a good time. This year I think my husband and I will be going to the carnival and just walk around, and enjoy the good food and drinks. There are times that we go to the concerts, but this year we will not be attending which is ok because we will still have a good time!

So bring on the good food, good music, and the good times!

Saturday was Part 2 of Valentine's day

Here was the surprised for Saturday...my husband told me to get ready starting at 4:00pm which I did and we left around 6:00pm and went to a very nice restaurant along with another couple.

It was nice and I actually didn't think we were not going this year due to the fact that my husband works a lot of hours, but him taking the time out and planning something nice for me was priceless. Well we had dinner with another couple and than from there we came home and went to sleep....no no I was not upset that we didn't do anything afterwards because I was actually full and ready to go back home, and get comfortable and get out of the cold weather.

Thanks honey for a nice evening and I love you to the moon and back!!

Happy Valetine's day

Whatever the plan is on this special day, I hope it's a wonderful day and may it be fill with lots of love, laughter, and good times!


The plan for me today, is my husband will be cooking us steaks, baked potatoes, and corn, along with strawberries for dessert, we usually save going out to eat for the weekend since he gets off of work to late, and we avoid the long waits! Plus my husband and I started this little tradition since we got our own place, and I look forward to it every year.

I will let you know what my husband has plan for me this Saturday since we will be celebrating Valentine's day.....It's a Suprised!!!

What is you New Years Resolution for 2013 or what would you like to change

So its the New Year...which means a New start, so what is your New years resolution for this year or what you want to change in general?

For myself I would like to keep up my journey on my weight lost, since I started mid of last year. Well now that I have notice a change I don't want to give up because I came to to far.  Since than and now I thank god I change my lifestyles and eating habits and did it for me and for my husband, as well I am a lot happier now and feel better about myself! I also want to spend more time with my grandma and hubby, friends, and family. There is more on my list but beside all that I just want to thank god for allowing me to see each day, and for the blessing and how thankful I will be this year good or bad....and to live life to the fullest!!
