Christmas tree/My favorite ornament

You know I have always help my mom decorate our Christmas tree with the colors she wanted, and for me to be able to do my own tree in my own place another year.... means I can go crazy(not to crazy) and do my own colors and put my favorite or any ornaments that I want. So my Christmas tree was set up on black Friday...that was the fun part was putting it up and decorating, the hard part is taking it down....which I will not think about that until it comes. So this year my Christmas tree is blue and silver, its my second year decorating, and I love having my own place to be able to what I want.... and starting my own family traditions with my husband! Here is a picture of our christmas tree and our favorite ornament......and this one means the most to us and that is:

This ornament I hold very close to my heart, 2008 was the first Christmas that we spend it as husband and wife....and three years later we are still going strong....and our love is amazing!!!

Our christmas tree

What is your favorite ornament? What color is your tree this year?

Prefect lazy Sunday

Today has been prefect....for the first time, my husband and I didn't do anything at all. After a crazy black Friday weekend, we decide that today we were not going anywhere and do nothing at all. Yeah I said after a crazy black Friday weekend cause we were out there, we started at midnight thanksgiving night/black Friday and didn't finish till 8am Friday after breakfast. For it being our second year doing this we knew what we wanted and we as well had are good friends with us, and they knew what they wanted. It was great hanging out with my husband and friends made new memories and here is to next year and many more!
Once we were done with black Friday shopping at 8am Friday morning, we came home to sleep for a good while! We than got up set up our Christmas tree,  met with our same friends from black Friday, had dinner and than back to there house to help them out with the new stuff they got....came home late! So after all that, going to bed late and getting up early,we decide that we were going to catch up on our rest! So on a rainy Saturday we did what we had to do and came home and spend the rest of our Saturday watching tv/movies in our pajamas. Than on Sunday it continued our lazy pajamas movie day along with staying warm, since the Houston weather decide to be crazy today.....cold!

After a crazy weekend that than became lazy it sure was prefect!! Being able to spend time with my husband in our pajamas all day and watch movies was the best.....after him working so many hours and me working as well this lazy day was Great!

Looking forward to doing the lazy day again with my other half!!

Love ya honey!!

Your wifey

Thanksgiving

This thanksgiving was great, and I couldn't be happier!

It started Wednesday night at my best friend/sister house along with my other best friends/family. Being with them is priceless....we ate and ate, laugh, talked, what could get better than that!
Than thanksgiving day we went to my in laws house...we ate, talked, laugh and of course watch the Dallas cowboys win. As for my family in and out of town I wasn't able to see them, but sure did get to talk to them over the phone and on facebook.

This thanksgiving is like any other thanksgiving for me, it wasn't about being around my husband, family, friends......it was and still is how grateful I am to have my husband, family, friends for another year and to many more!!!!

Hope everyone had a great thanksgiving!!!

OUR FIRST TRIP

Dear Friends and Visitors,

Hello! and Whew!! We are finally more back to normal after returning from our first trip/vacation to Vegas. Let's just say it was interesting from the time we got up to leave till time we got back....and it was a lot of fun and breath taking shows and view.

Day One August 13:
We were ready to go, alarms went off and we got up got ready and put last minute stuff in are bags and we were off to my mom house as she was taking us to the airport...thanks to her we save money on parking. Well you know how they say get there an hour before ummmm not.... maybe more like three hours early. The time came we arrive to the airport boy we were cutting it close after we saw lines and it was exactly an hour to our flight, there we go standing in line and I am of course losing my mind and my husband on the other hand calm as can be. From there the lines were moving we got to check in as well as our bags...but the lady told us our bags was not going to make it because our bags needed to check in at least 30 minutes before our flight. Once we got all that done, we went Thur an other line for security....boy was my husband still calm, it was 7:50 our flight takes off at 8:05.....the lines moved we were able to go Thur with no problems and ran to find our gate. Did we make it to our flight? Well....Oh hell yeah excuse my luggage but we did and man I was so happy, we couldn't sit together but hey we made it. I am happy to say we had a smooth flight from the time we left till the time we landed....I sit by two wonderful people, as well as my husband did too.....on the good side we got to see each other to let each other know we were good! OMG the captain came on the PA....Welcome to Las Vegas!!! We have made it.....thank you Jesus!!!!

We are now in Vegas...YAY!! Oh yeah and our bags did make it so double yay. So we got our bags went on the bus to go get our car and we were off to our hotel and the strip from the airport was not far at all. Luckily we were able to find our hotel with no problem and everything in the hotel was fabulous and the view from our room was absolute gorgeous.

Are trip can now start, we got settle in our room and left to go see the strip and do everything that people told us to do. First was lunch we had been up since 5 that morning, that we were not able to eat anything till we arrive in Vegas...we went to New York New York ate a slice of a tasteful pizza. Once lunch was done we were off walked around New York, New York and the other hotels....believe it our not we walk almost the whole strip in one day/night. Than my amazing husband bought tickets for a late show to see Chris Angel (Believe)....what an awesome show it was, please if we are in Vegas or planning on visiting please check out his show. After his show we had a lite dinner and than went to more hotels and more and than called a night at 3 in the morning...5 in the morning here at home.

Day 2 August 14:
We went to bed late and got up early, we were excited to get the day started...we chill for awhile got breakfast and coffee for the hubby....from there got ready and plan for our day, yes I said plan our day as we didn't want to miss anything! We drove the car of course as we were about tired of walking, since we had the car we decide to take a drove to hoover dam, very beautiful and boy it was hot. It was an hour a way from the strip so we were there for awhile, from there came back to the strip had lunch at IN -N- OUT burger another must to try while up there...heard from so many people, so it was a must. Once we done with lunch, the room was calling our name so went back parked the car head to the room and rested for a little bit as more walking would be involved. Time passed by we got ready hubby wanted to get dress up so we did...he took me on a gondola ride and it was very sweet and we got to kiss under the bridge...that bring a lot of luck (ummm we shall see). Once that was done we head out to see more shows and went to more hotels of course, we had the car for bit but took it back to go ahead a parked it because traffic on the strip looks like rush hour traffic here. We were still dress-up, husband took me out for a nice dinner and some very large rita and man they were good....drinks were not done so we were able to walked the strip with our drinks in our hands. Walk some more and more and didn't get to the hotel till 3 in the morning, yes another late night!

Day 3 August 15:
We slept a little late was able to catch lunch and realize this was our last day, so lets make the most of it...we didn't get the car out as we were going to go ahead and walked, oh know we did...we drove to see the store that come on Pawn Stars the popular show that comes on TV, and the old Vegas sign, as well as the golden nugget and got McDonald for lunch (can't go wrong). We than took the car back to the hotel and walked to MGM hotel to see the lion show, and than the fountain show at the bellagio, and than to treasure island to see the pirate show, and from there the volcano show at the mirage, and finally the Cesar palace....in between all these shows we had to let time go by as the shows didn't happen till the early evening. In between all of that we were still seeing hotels after hotels and more shows!  Being our last night there we didn't get in till 3 in the morning, the nightlife and the party life there goes on no matter what day of  the week it is, its Saturday all over again. I also want to add the way you see Vegas on TV it's just like that it real life!!!!!

Day 4 August 16:
We got up early morning as it was our time to go home already...we got everything packed and went to go check out at 11, and went to go eat one more time at in and out burger. Once we were done eating we put gas in the car and than we head out to the airport as we didn't want the same thing to happen on the way to Vegas. Car was turn in took the bus to the airport check in at two and waited till four for our flight, finally it was time to come home....of course I was sad but happy to come home. This time on the flight home we were able to set next to each other and had smooth flight home, we arrive home my mom picked us got our car and got home at safe and sound!!!

Here was the some what short story of our trip...I enjoyed every bit of it and it was everything I ask for as I was with my best friend/my amazing husband.  My husband has been working a lot and answering the phone due to work, and having this trip was great I had my husband and we had each other attention....and guess what I still get butterflies!!!

BTW when we got from Vegas, we went to work the next day....I had to go back to work and get the room and everything ready for the kids with no ac, and than my husband works in the heat. It was a rough three days for us, as we were counting down for weekend but guess what not to much rest as it was a busy weekend for us.

Missing Vegas every bit of it was worth it, including the tiredness and the walking... but glad to be home still need to catch up on our rest!

Had a great first trip and can't wait to start planning our next one!!!

My dearest Husband

Every time I listen to our song that we had for our first dance from our wedding...it still give me chills up and down my body, as well as butterflies in my stomach. When that songs plays all I can do is put a smile on my face and think of you rather we are together or not, as well as I thank god everyday for you and how you are huge blessing in my life. There are times we can drive each other crazy, and than times that we can talk and laugh at everything and anything..stupid or not it's funny in our little way!

Amazed by Lonestar....was our first song for our first dance from our wedding!

Here are the words:

Every time our eyes meet
This feeling inside me
Is almost more than I can take
Baby when you touch me
I can feel how much you love me
And it just blows me away
I've never been this close to anyone or anything
I can hear your thoughts
I can see your dreams

I don't know how you do what you do
I'm so in love with you
It just keeps getting better
I want to spend the rest of my life
With you by my side
Forever and ever
Every little thing that you do
Baby, I'm amazed by you

The smell of your skin
The taste of your kiss
The way you whisper in the dark
Your hair all around me
Baby you surround me
You touch every place in my heart
Oh, it feels like the first time, every time
I want to spend the whole night in your eyes

Every little thing that you do
I'm so in love with you
It just keeps getting better
I want to spend the rest of my life
With you by my side
Forever and ever
Every little thing that you do
Baby, I'm amazed by you

You are one amazing husband...everytime I am with you, I am amazed with everything about you and that you do for me and the way you love me! This song could not have been prefect because every word in this song describe our love and the way we love each other!!

It our love story in a song...Priceless!!!!

Love you always and forever!!!

Your wife,
Lauren

The ride....

It's called Life...it can be one crazy roller coaster that have it's ups and downs and some crazy loops, but at the end, being grateful is the key and God is the one we should be thankful for beside our parents!

Everybody has their own rollar coaster that they are all riding but never the least it is all different, and that is the fun part about being on this ride becasue you create it and you determine everything. Since time I was little till now my ride has been mentally, physical, and emtional...ups and downs...happiness and sad, but never the least God has never gave me eveything that I could not handle personally or emtionally, if he did I manage to keep my head up make it through the hard part. Another thing this ride has is....REGRETS but could be turn into an happiness time or you could make this an lesson and learn from that regrets.

So just remember to always do this when you are on your ride having such a wonderful time:

We will be going on our first vacation together as husband and wife...We will be going to

Las Vegas will be welcoming us for the first time, and we can't wait! We haven't been anywhere beside in the Texas area, so beside this being our first trip as husband and wife, it is also are first trip/ a really late honeymoon that is been in the making for almost three years this November 1st.

We will be staying at a wonderful five star hotel, and we also include a car for the sight seeing we will be doing within are stay. During our stay we plan to visit the different hotels that they have there and the casinos as well to get our gamble om, but not for our whole stay. Beside all the sight seeing, we also plan on catching a show...hopefully as we plan on visiting all around Vegas and maybe catching a nice dinner at one of the nice restaurant. Other than that we also plan on bring comfortable shoes, as we are planning on doing a whole lot of walking! Until than I will keep you posted as I am counting down the days till our trip...and will be talking about our trip when we come back as well as the hotel and everything we did and see!

Signing off as one happy traveler, who is going to Vegas!

Lauren

If you had a chance to be on the hit show MTV Made..What would you be made into?

If I had a chance to be on the show, I think I would want to include my husband ...and be made into a Professional dancer. Dancing is absolute love by us, we love to dance tejano music we are not great but good and as far as for the other styles of music. Besides the style of music that we know or at least try,  I would love to learn more of the merenge and salsa style....we know the basic but would love to do rest like the turns and everything....unbelievable. Then the reason why I want to include my husband is I would not have it any other way and plus I would not want to learn how to dance with anyone else beside my husband, who is my husband as well as my partner in everything.

So think about it......What would you be made into?

I would be made into a Professional Merenge/Salsa dancer!

Our first camping trip

This pass weekend June 10-11, we went on our first camping trip with friends of ours and their family, it was the first time for us as husband and wife...I went when I younger with my parents and their friends and my husband has never been. So it being the first time for both us and it going to be and exciting trip and well learning experience. Let our first camping trip begin....

Friday 6/10/2011:
We got up around 6:00 in the morning loaded the car up and head out to meet our friends and there family members, so we can head out together in a convoy. The time we got to our friend house there were still packing up and so we help them load up there stuff, finally we were off to an hour trip to lake livingston state park. While we were on the road we made a breakfast stop and than went about, no more stops until we got to the site....yay we were there, we check in our cars and went to go find our camp site all I can remember is when we drove up to the site my mouth just drop and all I could think is what I did I get myself into, and than on top of that cell phones didn't work out there..."OH LORD," let the interesting weekend begin......

The camping being the cars were unloaded one by one, tents were put up one by one and than the food and our area was getting organized. Once everything is put in there place we had everything set up for us and ready for the weekend, it was time for lunch we had hamburgers and hot dogs, by that time I was already asking my husband if we can go home on Saturday and he just look at me and said lets enjoyed...ok lets enjoyed! From that time we walked around to view the park and the rest we drove, certain parts you could walk and than drive to it.....very pretty and neat seeing all the different tents out and people all of ages and we found the showers and restrooms, good thing not to far from our site. After awhile the time as passed it was dinner time (bbq chicken, rice, and beans), we didnt really do much beside just unloaded and help with everything by the time it was night we were exhausted. Goodnight!!!!!

Saturday 6/11/2011:
Goodmorning its day 2 of our camping trip, we slept very good it got cool and in the middle of the night, and woke up to the birds singing was nice by the time we woke up we help and ate breakfast (eggs, pancakes, troast break, and sausage)...yummy, I know! From there we were planning our day we put our swimsuit on and drove to the main part of the lake where the peir is at and the pool, we did paddle boat for an hour, well the guys did, hahaha we enjoying the view. Once we were done with the paddle boat it was time for lunch, went back to the site to help out with lunch which was chicken alferdo with a salad very good. In the meantime lunch was over we helped with the cleaning, let our food go down and head out to the pool and the lake for a swim, and the heat being the way it is that water sure did feel good...hours pass the time came we help with dinner back at the site it was potatoes, t bone steak....delicious. Fainlly as day two came to an end we kick back watch movies on the screen that our friend bought with him and had a few drinks and laughter! It was a great night and settle in our tents for a goodnight ahead of us!

Sunday 6/12/2011:
Day three of our camping trip from day one I was ready to go home and now its day three and it was time for us to go home and I was not ready, because the time we had was great and relaxing and so much fun. It was around eight in the morning we ate breakfast and than we took down our tents, clean, pickup and loaded up.....Goodbye to our home of three days and two night!!!

For it being our first camping trip it was great and we are so looking forward to doing it again! The way it was when I first got there, and what I was thinking was totally different by the end of our trip...camping wasn't to bad and not having cell phones service wasn't bad at all either. But don't get me wrong I did miss my ac, and not having to walk to far to the restrooms and showers, but I would do it again because it was a great!!!

Home sweet home!!!
