What I'm thankful for

Welcome to the HLB Thanksgiving Blog Hop I'm thankful for!

You know I'm always thankful but this month is a little extra special as it's November, Thanksgiving(which is all about giving thanks and giving back! 

With that being said let me say that 2016 has been special to us and I'm truly thankful for everything we did, for the memories that we made, the hard times(lost of loved ones), the laughter, the good, and much more. It has been and unforgettable year and hope we can finish it off the rest of November, and December with a bang. Now let me share with you

My 30th birthday didn't get to do much as we lost my uncle unexpectedly. He was a such a wonderful uncle who was more of a father figure to me. The memories I have of him I will forever cherish. My heart still hurts!
Spending time with my family(husband and son and making memories together and for him is priceless to me.
Celebrating my son's second birthday and making wonderful memories on his big day.
I'm not thankful for our first hospital visit for my son, but I'm thankful it was nothing serious.
Celebrating a wonderful Year in my house.
Celebrating 8 wonderful years of marriage with my amazing husband.

I have so much more these were the ones that were memorable to me! I'm also thankful for all the blessing from the ones up above to the ones that were a lesson in life. I'm also not only thankful but bless with each passing day I get, with my husband and son.

Now I take what I'm thankful for as a blessing with a lesson or laughter or just because at the end!

Reason to Watch Cantinflas marathon this Thanksgiving weekend

Cantinflas, one of Mexico’s most beloved cinematic personalities and a masterful comedian, entertained families throughout the Americas for decades. Often called the Charlie Chaplin of America, Cantinflas was an internationally known clown, acrobat, musician, satirist, business leader, activist and philanthropist who became a symbol of pride and hope. 

In honor of the holiday season, Cine Sony Television, a Sony Pictures Television network, has announced the network’s biggest ever movie marathon that features 33 films starring the legendary Mexican crossover comedian, Cantinflas. Starting Thanksgiving Day at 7am ET/8am CT, this four day event will consist of popular films such as El Analfabeto, Los Tres Mosqueteros and A Volar Joven, all uncensored and commercial free.

You won’t want to miss this Thanksgiving marathon full of Spanish-language puns and explosions of laughter. Not yet convinced? Here’s a list of reasons why Cine Sony Television’s Cantinflas marathon is a must see for the entire family, young and old.

Family friendly laughs. In the 1920s Cantinflas began making families throughout Mexico laugh.  His confusing command of language, also known as cantinflear along with his endearing personality is reflected in each of his films. His trademark ability of talking quickly and nonsensically has always incited tremendous laugher from his audiences. Often dressed in drooping pants held up by a rope, small silly hats and a funny mustache, Cantinflas’ films are the perfect option for making your movie suggestions the hit of your Thanksgiving break.

A chance to celebrate Hispanic culture. Cantinflas became an ambassador of Mexican culture around the world, especially in the United States. He was introduced to American audiences in 1956’s when he earned a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor in a Motion Picture Comedy. Whether he was a priest in El Padrecito, or a firefighter in El Bombero Atomico, Cantinflas’ character always fought against all odds and never forgot where he came from. His actions, life story and his accomplishments inspired Mexico’s lower class for decades. For many of us Hispanics, Cantinflas was not just a celebrity, he was one of us. Re-watching many of Cantinflas’ films will remind us to give thanks this holiday season for our rich culture.

A way of teaching families essential values. Cantinflas became a national icon for Mexico and a hero that has been permanently placed in Hispanic culture. He was viewed as the nation’s most active philanthropist who constantly fought for the lower class and for social reform. His movies and character show families that even if you have nothing, you can change that by creating your own opportunities for a better future.

So this Thanksgiving break, enjoy the Cine Sony Television marathon of Cantinflas with the whole family starting Thursday, November 24 to Sunday November 27 at 7am ET/8am CT.

My dearest two year old

My dearest two year old,

You have only been a two year old for two months and yet I thought it was longer. Two year old also known as the well I'm going to say horrible two's because you been acting this way since one in half years old. These crying fits, and not getting your way is not going to help your case but I must say you have not had that many and I sure hope it stays like that. Beside that this two year old stage as been fun, and we sure have made some great memories since you became two, two months ago...yeah I like to keep you busy, and we like to stay busy no matter if we are out the house or in the house.

You know when you turn two years old we had a bit of a scared when the doctor told me that you needed to see a specialist for speech. I must admit I was a bit scared, worry as I thought I as a mother fail you or I was doing something wrong...than there I was thinking something was wrong with you, and all kinds of things were running in my head. I even cry with the nurse(which she assure me nothing was wrong with you), as well as your daddy, and lean on loved ones who loved you very much and they assure me. Either way I was still worrying, but at the end I knew everything was in God hands. We left your doctor appointment with waiting for a call from the speech specialist to tell us when the appointment was since the doctor set it up. Well, we waited, waited and waited and your appointment was set and than we waited again....

Now here it is a month in half later it was appointment time. Again doctor was worry as you were not saying enough words or combo words for the age group you are in, but in between while we waited for your appointment you started saying more words since your doctor appointment. So two ladies call us in one did the observation over you (daddy came with us) and the other went over paperwork with me. After paperwork, paperwork, questions after questions and you doing what you know what to do and say....than they calculate the score because appently you have to have a score to qualify for the program or not.

So.....they step out and than came back in told us that you my son were fine, and nothing was wrong. A sign of relief which I knew nothing was wrong with you, but doctor was worry.
My son, you went into your appointment and did your thing, and prove to them that you are perfectly fine. Yes you are behind a little but your daddy and I have come to terms that you are learning at your pace, and will shine bright when you need too. In the meantime I have and will continue to work with you each day, and little by little you will talk more and more each day. And when you do you will show the doctor at your two half year old appointment what you can do and say.

Beside this little worry bump you my child are an amazing little person which such an awesome personality. You love to dance, love to watch movies and certain cartoons, as well as you love to copy what mommy and daddy are doing, and love giving kisses and high five. You also love to do things on your own well try to do things on your own,  and that makes mommy sad. As well as Thank you and that smile gets your way ok ok a little!

On top of everything else you are still the biggest blessing in your daddy and I life, and you are such a joy to be around! And each passing day as you are learning something new, or doing something new we couldn't be more happier of you.

I along with daddy will always be proud of you and will continue to show the love, and teach you.

Hello November, Hello 8 years of marriage for is today

Happy November everyone! Let's bring on the cooler temperature that were suppose to some what happen in October here in Texas, but nope and yes my hopes are still high and I'm waiting...lol. I like October for halloween but I love the last two months of the year due to the holidays, and of course more memories to make, cooler temperatures for sure, and good food for thanksgiving and Christmas, Christmas trees, christmas decorations, Santa, and so much more!

You know beside it being a new month it's also my husband and I 8th wedding anniversary. Yes, we made it to 8 years of marriage we hit a bump but we went over it with no problem and so glad we are and still HAPPILY married. 

Who have thought 3 years of dating and 8 years of marriage! Within those 8 years of marriage we had a baby and got a house...I'm not sure what else is in store for us, but one thing I do know for sure is I'm glad it's with you. 

So here is to my wonderful husband happy 8th anniversary babe! Thank you for taking a chance with me and asking me to be your wife at the age of 21. Many people thought I was to young, I wasn't going to be a good wife, we were not going to make it, or my favorite I was pregnant..but little did anyone know we were in love and knew what we wanted.

Fast forward 8 years later here is our life, and what we have is a blessing and is good. Everyday I thank God for giving me you, and for letting me be your wife. I'm proud of you, and proud to be your wife. Thank you for loving me, and for everything you do for not only me but for our little one. 

I love you than, love you now, and will love you forever! I'm truly thankful to God for everything we have and will always be. Here is to many more with you and only you!!

Let me tell you the last 8 years have not been easy well more so the last few weeks haven't been easy due to my husband working so much where to the point I felt like us his family was on the back burner with his job. Until this pass Friday we had an early anniversary dinner date while someone we trust watch our son for a few hours. I must say it was much needed and the night was wonderful from the moment we walked in with complimentary drinks to the salad and main course, even to the complimentary dessert all thanks to the owner who my husband email to let him know we will be coming to celebrate our anniversary early. You know I felt so good fixing myself but yet I felt so guilty leaving my son behind, but the food being hot and the quiet dinner with my husband was so amazing and wonderful that the guilty I was feeling went out the window as I deserved this and needed this night with my husband. Date night doesn't happen often but after Friday you bet your socks off it will happen as my husband understood why it was important for us to have a date every once in awhile. Oh yeah before I end this posted let me tell you my outfit for the night was so out of my comfort zone, but the way I felt with it on, my hair fix up, and cute shoes on was amazing. Plus side is I could use my dress more than once(blog post about how many ways I could use this outfit..stay tuned). See I'm staying at home mommy and I normally don't get fix up on a daily basics well at all, and when I do I'm loving it and seeing my husband reaction when he see me....is priceless!! Oh yeah and no matter what he has on he still give me butterflies and is truly handsome.
